The De Witt Institute was founded to bring experts on negotiations together and to help others to become experts in negotiations or solve dillema's. The Institute is all about spreading knowledge on the art of negotiating and to serve the community. It is the go-to place in the Netherlands for those seeking to understand negotiating.

The Institute is also the birthplace of the concept of methodical negotiating. Creating value and improving relations while you negotiate is our aim. But the framework of methodical negotiating helps you prevent stepping into common pitfalls and making mistakes that are easily preventable.

Our fellows are CEO's, lawyers, diplomats, psychologists, communication specialists, researchers and trainers; all in leadership positions in large corporations or the public sector. Through public debate, training/consulting, and panel reviews, we help to enhance thinking on negotiations.
